When I was working on film sets, I did absolutely everything in my power to make sure things went smoothly, were organized, and that everyone had what they needed. However, it was often at my own expense. My boundaries were weak, and I took on more work than I should have. I was left anxious, stressed, and depleted at the end of each day even though I thought I was living the dream.

I didn’t understand how important it is to make sure my social and emotional needs are met. In fact, it’s something I’m still learning. I had it in my mind that self care is selfish, but it turns out when you invest in yourself, you can be your best self. That affects your loved ones too.

Today, I'll leave you with a question. Imagine going to your family, friends, spouse, coworkers, etc… filled with energy and the best parts of you naturally flow out? What do you need to do in order to experience that? How would that affect the people closest to you?

Cheers to new perspectives,
